Commercial… Or Parable?

A long-lived ad campaign debuted back in the 1960s. Most of us remember it as “Cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs.” Even if we never had occasion to try the cereal, it’s easy to remember the commercials with the “cuckoo bird” going positively wild for Cocoa Puffs: like, totally out of control.

I find it difficult to believe that this same spirit has not possessed a great swathe of our fallen world’s movers and shakers, trend-setters and decision-makers. All right, they don’t go caroming off the walls in the Senate Office Building, or swing from the chandeliers in judges’ chambers: but they might as well. It doesn’t get wackier than insisting that men and boys can have periods. You should at least get a bowl of Cocoa Puffs for that.

Were these ads trying to warn us about the people who were ruling us?

I guess we should’ve listened.

  1. No way are they going to let Cocoa Puffs in the Public School Lunch Program – the students would go Cuckoo for them. You should see all the perfectly good food that is thrown into the trash on a daily basis – I mean, bananas, strawberries, yogurt, white milk, etc., etc.

An example: Nancy Pelosi goes to a bar to drink and dance in celebration of Trump not getting any money for a wall. And now it looks like Trump is going to veto their wimpy, cop-out, we-can’t-do-the-job-we-were-sent-here- to-do Congress.

    1. Y’know what’s the most alarming thing about this? It all happened right in front of us, and yet no one can say why it happened, or how? It’s as if we woke up one day to discover that sometime during the night, fornication became sacred, sanity became insanity, and people who would normally be ridden out of town on a rail now owned the town.

    2. Yeah that’s the sad part. I felt though ever since our country legalize gay marriage it went way down hill real quick after that…

    3. Yeah and further perversion. For all those Christians thinking giving in would stop the Left well here’s a case study that it doesn’t.
