Ta-Dah! Our Tree

tree 002

Patty doesn’t like to give up on something, once she starts: so she finally did figure out how to post a picture of our Christmas tree, and here it is. It’d be much nicer if we ever had any sunlight coming in through our windows, but that’s been very hard to come by lately.

The Elf on top used to sit on my Grammy’s Christmas tree, at least 50 years ago. And the lights are from my Grandpa’s store that he had in the 1930s–and they all still work.

  1. Merry Christmas!! The lights we used to buy for out trees and the outside trees and bushed lasted longer. The newest lights out seem to be an improvement. Electric lights on the tree sure beats lighted candles!

  2. Merry Christmas, Lee and Family! This post brings back a lot of good memories! (I’m 68.) May you have a blessed New Year!
Keep up the good fight . . . It’s great to “hear” your voice almost every day! You’re a solid voice of reason and faith in a country sliding down a very scary slope . . . scary but for the truths of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Who exhorts us to be anxious for nothing; to be as wise as serpents, but as harmless as doves; to recognize that He is our Shepherd, and we are the sheep of His flock, and that He will make us to lie down in green pastures and lead us beside still waters. You’re a fine spokesman for Him, Lee! Thank you for your obedience and faithfulness! It must be hard, some days, to make the effort, but we appreciate your continuing posts! I’ll be following along into the New Year! God bless . . . —Steve M.

    1. Steve, thank you very much, and a Merry Christmas to you, too!
You wouldn’t believe how hard this gig can be, some days. But I asked the Lord to accept me into His service, and He took me up on it.
