Our cat, Robbie, has had a bit more than her share of tribulating. I’ve got to take her to the vet first thing tomorrow because lately, for no reason we can think of, she’s coughing. We had at least two years of having to medicate her for that, and at last the cough went away… but now it’s back.
In the meantime, the cost of the asthma medicine has doubled and you just can’t find a rubber mask that fits over a cat’s face to deliver the medicine. We used to have one, but they don’t last forever and now we can’t find a new one. And we’re still medicating her for a hyper thyroid. I don’t know: maybe that medicine needs to be a little weaker. She’s put on more weight than we’d like to see. Maybe that’s making her cough. We just don’t know. Hopefully the doctor does.
It seems all of us around here are taking turns being sick. Gets to be a bit wearing, after a while. We would be thankful for your prayers.
If you don’t see any posts here tomorrow morning, it’s because I’m not here, either.
This was supposed to be our week off.
Oh, I’m so sorry, Lee. I’ll keep Robbie in my prayers. My cat Iggy’s been having a bad couple of days, too, although he’s been a little better tonight. As they say about us humans, getting old is not for wimps, and that seems to apply to our pets as well.

Thank you, Lee. It was a very happy one. Mass in the morning was beautiful; Iggy went a whole day without throwing up; I watched “Love with the Proper Stranger” on YouTube; one of my best friends took me out to lunch at our favorite Chinese restaurant; and it turned out that the ice cream place we went to for dessert serves free ice cream to people on their birthdays.
I wish I could offer some sage wisdom regarding the cough, but I’m afraid that I can’t be of much assistance in that department. As you are aware, Lee, I lost a lovely cat less than a year ago. I can take satisfaction in knowing that I did all that could reasonably have been done for her and gave her the best care possible.
Hopefully, Robbie will be able to be helped with some simple treatment. No matter what, however, you can tak comfort in the fact that you’ve been a responsible caretaker and Robbie’s outcome, whatever that might be, is much better than it would ever have been without you and Patty.

My thoughts and prayers are with you, Patty, and the cats. You were here for me a year ago, and I’ll not forget it. All you can do is your best and you are doing just that. You’re not alone.
Patty has just ordered a top-of-the-line air purifier. Wouldn’t that be a hoot if that was what *all three of us* needed?
