Back from the Vet

All right: X-rays, blood work, antibiotic injection, thorough examination–the works. You should see the bill. They had to give me smelling salts. And of course Robbie didn’t cough the whole time she was at the doctor’s. In fact, she hasn’t yet coughed today.

For the time being, the antibiotics might help, our new air purifier (due in January) might help, and they’re going to do further study of the blood work and the X-rays just to make sure they know what’s what. Please, Lord, let the air purifier be the solution to the problem. That’ll be me you see turning cartwheels on the lawn.

So that’s that for now. I came home and ate soup and brownies. It’s my freak-out and I’ll handle it my way.

Everybody, your prayers are greatly appreciated.

  1. Ya know, that is the way it always works for me when I go to the clinic. I may leave home with some kind of symptom, but once I get to the exam room, there is nothing to be found. All tests– perfect. Have the health of a
teen ager. Fap. Just hope none of her symptoms come back.
    Blessings on your day.

  2. Oh, how we love our pets. Our Blackie bunny developed cancer and we had him operated on even though it was an expense. Unfortunately it didn’t help and we had to have him put down – I cried.

May Robbie be restored to health, in Jesus’ Name.

  3. That picture is adorable! I just wish Iggy would respond so meekly to the vet. How does Robbie do with hers?

It’s hard to know when to panic and when to grit our teeth and hunker down until the current health crisis passes of its own accord. I’m having that problem with Iggy these days. And I truly sympathize about the bills at the vet, considering what I’ve spent at the vet myself in the past year. Funny, though … I balk at spending the kind of money on myself that I spend on Iggy without a second thought. How we love our pets.

Lee, I continue praying for you all your family, including Robbie of course.

    1. She was a challenging patient today. Apparently she forgot she likes this doctor.

Prayers for you and Iggy, Phoebe–may we all get better soon.

I have hopes for that air purifier.

  4. Let’s hope it’s simple. We come to love our little furry friends quite deeply and it’s never easy when one of them is sick.
