It’s New Year’s Eve, and you’re going to hear a lot of Auld Lang Syne. Fine, that’s as it should be, it’s nice. But here we put the tune to the service of Our Lord Jesus Christ. I don’t know about you, but this goes straight to my heart: All Glory Be to Christ by King’s Kaleidoscope, sung by Dustin Kensrue. I’m only going to post it once today–but you can listen as often as you like.
Happy New Year’s Eve! This song I like very much.
Wonderful. A much better version than Auld lang sine, though that one is
OK, too. I like this better.
I find it very moving. Just lovely!
I love this song
Happy New Year to all the Lee Duigon readers!!
I’ve read where many of the songs during the Reformation period were popular tavern songs whose lyrics were rewritten to promote God’s Kingdom. I am all for popular tunes of today being done with Christ-honoring lyrics.
The world is a dark and lonely place. I watched a contemporary documentary of a large city in Japan. A young American journalist travels all around the city as a tourist and shows how no one hardly talks to their fellow citizen – especially on the commuter trains which millions use daily. Everyone is looking at their phones.
When we let our light our Light shine, we are bringing glory to Christ. Like the Christmas song says, “smiling at everyone you meet.”
Looking at their phones… The more we have of the means of communication, the less we communicate.
