Yesterday Virginia’s proposed law to allow the abortion of babies as they’re being born died a quick death in committee, after nationwide public outrage convinced the state legislators to back off (https://www.nydailynews.com/opinion/ny-oped-abortion-rights-and-moral-wrongs-20190131-story.html).
Some of us were so busy charting the outrage, we missed the bill’s failure in committee. Well, it’s not so easy to keep up with the nooze, these days.
I have a degree in political science, so I’m supposed to understand stuff like this–but I don’t. Not this time. Why in the world do Democrats even think the American people would be okay with the idea of murdering babies as they come out of the womb?
Correct me if I’m wrong, but aren’t people American citizens, with the rights of citizens, from the moment they are born in America? Or is there some John Kerryesque nuance that says you can kill ’em as long as, say, one leg is still inside the womb? How would this not be the premeditated murder of an American citizen? That’s the part I don’t understand.
No one shall be deprived of life, liberty, or property without due process of law, the Fifth Amendment says. What–unless he or she is only a new-born baby?
Why did Democrats think the nation would allow them to do this? Are they mad? Or just so blinded by evil that they can’t think straight? Do they really think it’s okay to bushwhack a baby as he’s being born?
I must’ve missed the day they covered that in class.
NY, Alaska, Colorado, New Mexico, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Vermont, the District of Colombia – all now have no gestational limits.
I don’t know why they’ve done this.
Almost immediately after the NY law, several states jumped on the abort-live bandwagon in such haste I suspect this was their plan all along. NY would go first and the others would follow because they had already written the law. It’s how the games are always played.
They want the babies alive and Planned Parenthood i’m certain has plans to make money off them. Unknown, unaccounted for, no identity, no trail of evidence as to what happened to them. I’m thinking of things too sinister & demonic to write it here. Why would a woman carry a baby in her womb for 9 months and then abort it, especially those going through actual gestation? Abort at birth?? Do they need money? I believe Planned Parenthood is recruiting them, maybe telling the women to wait awhile, several months, and giving them a reason to. If so, there’s no shortage of them lining up for something…

I think they will try to get away with anything unless the stink is overwhelming or they’re caught trying to hide some abomination..
They’re trying to build a wall to separate young ones from the rights of personhood….

They’re fine with guns, as long as their puppets are the only ones in possession of guns.

They are doing this because they know Ruth Bader Ginsberg may be replaced in the near future by a Trump Constitutional Originalist which sets the scene for repressive decisions against Roe v. Wade. By making infanticide legal it doesn’t seem so radical to allow abortion in the first three months (this is my take.).
Sort of like starting out at a ridiculous starting price so that the buyer is more likely to settle for a higher price when the deal is finally negotiated. This is a powerful trick, BTW, and usually works.
