Back to the Doctor’s, Again

I won’t be here tomorrow morning. The doctor has summoned me to discuss the results of the blood work I had done two weeks ago–which, he coyly hinted on the phone, shows “a weak kidney.” And some other stuff. I don’t want to make too much of it, but to be on the safe side, I’d appreciate your prayers. I mean, really, nobody wants to hear he has a bum kidney. And other stuff.

  1. Praying and expecting good news. Our God knows every cell of our bodies, and He alone knows how to repair every one. Before we just accept every word of the medical practitioners, we have research material, and above all, we have HIS word.

  2. A call from the doctor like yours is upsetting – been there, done that. It is amazing what can be discerned from a thorough blood test. Because of my gall bladder episode the prostate cancer was discovered in time to be cured. Now I get to see my doctor every day M-F for over two months (but I only consult with him once a week). Quite a switch from someone who never went to the doctor for being sick until he was 70.

  3. I’m so sorry I missed this email until now. But so happy you’re well again. Yet you were still in my prayers as I routinely pray for the both of you and for those on this blog.
