A Plethora of Pugs

My neighbor has two little pug dogs, a brother and a sister. She was taking them for a walk one day when a loose German shepherd attacked them and took a chunk out of the male; but his sister, about one-sixth the attacker’s size, speedily avenged her brother, going at the big dog like a fury and driving it away. You’ve just got to love a little dog with such a big heart! Her name is Alex, but I call her Braveheart.

  1. Funny how some animals don’t seem to acknowledge the size of a larger
animal. They just go for it.

    1. If the two pugs had been able to act together (they were taken by surprise), they would’ve settled that big dog’s hash but good.

  2. Great video. These seem like pretty clever dogs. Perhaps it’s a side effect of YouTube, but I’m starting to realize that animals have incredible individuality and a sense of self. We have much to learn about creation.

    1. Thing is, they have *selves*, just as we do. Theirs are probably very different from ours, but that just makes it interesting.

    2. Indeed. They have wonderful, amazing personalities. They are not the mindless automatons we were taught them to be back in school. My little cat is sitting on my lap as I type, cleaning her paws and obviously enjoying the fact that I’m home with her. She has her own life, her interests and goals (mostly escaping to the Great Outdoors) but she’s an individual in her own right. Most importantly, she, and all of our pets, are a gift from God Himself.

    3. You wouldn’t believe slowworms. Cats, sure, they’re warm and furry. But we mammals don’t have a monopoly on personality.

    4. All life springs from Yahweh and has dignity by virtue of that fact. Even lowly bacteria is an amazing creation and absolutely essential to life. Some years ago, someone arranged for children to be born in Antarctica so that they would be a natural citizens thereof. The problem is, Antarctica is essentially sterile and children born there will not survive. We need bacteria in order to survive.

    5. It was a scheme to establish a national identity for Antarctica. Apparently they would form a master race and populate out from there. 🙂

All kidding aside, I have read that the Nazis held an inordinate interest in Antarctica. I make no claims for the veracity of that notion, but it wouldn’t surprise me a bit. I believe with all my heart that they were a manifestation of the Antichrist spirit.
