We have a hymn request from Phoebe, to open this season of Lent–O Sacred Head Surrounded, attributed to St. Bernard of Clairvaux.
Would you believe we sang this in seventh grade, in public school, as part of our spring concert?
It was better then. Come, Lord Jesus, come.
Thank you, Lee. I love this song.
I remember singing religious songs in grade school — both Christian and Jewish songs. We had a mix of Jewish kids, black and white Protestant kids, and a sprinkling of Catholic kids in my school. Everyone sang all the songs, and no one was offended. It was a different world then.
Concerning your other post about the good guys winning (comment was disabled): PRaise God!
Comments are now un-disabled. *sigh* They get me with that every day!
Wow terrible of WordPress
Thank you for this song
