Generally I try to avoid discussing any politics on Sunday. I try to follow the example of Judas the Maccabee who, although he was fighting for his nation’s life, still wouldn’t fight on the Sabbath except in self-defense.
I’ll make this brief. I mention it because it just might be one of those things they put over on us while we’re looking the other way and then, when it’s too late, we wonder how they did it.
Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (Far Left-California) says she wants to see the voting age lowered to 16 (https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-6810889/Pelosi-wants-voting-age-lowered-16-capture-kids-high-school.html). She tried to insert the measure into an “anti-corruption bill”–the hypocrisy could actually suffocate you–but couldn’t quite manage it.
In one of those rare moments when a Democrat accidentally says something that is true, Pelosi explained why she wants to do this:
“It’s really important to capture kids when they’re in high school.”
“Capture”? Did she say “capture”? Well, public education has already done that!
There is more that needs to be said about this republic-killing proposal, but I’ll save it for tomorrow.
We don’t even need to read or hear what she says, just look at those insane expressions on her face.
You know as I see the demist of our culture, and the far left direction of the Democratic party, we are literally one presidential election away from losing the Republic for good. That means we have to be lucky every time, while they just have to be lucky only once. That doesn’t make me very optimistic. Putting our hopes in any one man is not enough. At this point, nothing short of a spiritual awakening will save us.
I remember what it was like as a teenager. Oh, how we all believed that is we ran the world, instead of adults, everything would be fantastic! We were so much smarter than the grown ups, after all. Such hubris! So easily mislead!!
Funny how only leftists think lowering the voting age is a good idea. Their ideology appeals to immature minds.
They think they’ll have these ignorant, mal-educated, defenseless kids exactly where they want ’em.
Why 16? Why not 12? or 8? For that matter, why have any limits at all? If the dead can vote for Democrats, why not toddlers and infants? — including the infants who were previously killed in the womb or in fourth-trimester abortions? (For these, however, the votes are collected only after the abortions are completed; otherwise, the infants might vote to stay alive.)
Pardon the (literally) graveyard humor. It seems fitting for the Culture of Death.
This ploy is unspeakably evil, but I didn’t want to write much about it on a Sunday. I’ll say more tomorrow.
