Rutgers Prof: ‘White People Own Time’

It would be less disrespectful to us, the defenseless taxpayers of New Jersey, if they raked all our money into a pile and set it on fire. But instead they use it to fund Rutgers.

My old alma mater, the state university, covered itself with yet more academic glory a few days ago. A Rutgers professor of Women’s and Gender Studies and Africana Studies–you already know where this is going, don’t you?–in an interview on NPR, where else, declared that “white people own time” (https://www.thecollegefix.com/rutgers-professor-even-the-concept-of-time-is-racist/).

According to this racist nitwit, “white people” invented the whole idea of time, so that makes time Racist, I guess if you peek at your wristwatch to see if this broadcast will be over soon, that makes you a White Supremacist Slave-Holder or something. “But we,” she added, meaning “we proud African people,” blah-blah, “treat time as though it is timeless.”

What a load of crap.

Does this have anything to do with why recent college graduates have so much trouble showing up for work on time? That is, if they work at all.

It distresses me that money that I work for goes to pay this jidrool’s salary, not to mention spectacular benefits that real people who don’t work for the state of New Jersey can only dream about… and pay for.

Defund the colleges now. Before it’s too late.

  1. Wow, clearly the further we run from our Maker the stupider we become. “The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom”….we lost that a long time ago. 😖

  2. The Genesis account teaches us a lot about time. Six days of creation and one of rest. The sun, moon and stars are to help us track time. Civilization has advanced far because of these things. At the root, matters like this one, at Rutgers, come down to rejecting God and His written word.

    1. Yeah? I get hundreds of emails every day & am over 2,400 behind. When I burn out from too much bad news (it’s always bad) I either ignore them for 5 days to a week, or I answer only yours – enjoying the discussions, feedback, humor, and having a grand old time. That’s part of the reason i’m 2,400 emails behind – lol.

    2. That’s common sense. Me? Not so much – lol. Thanks for the advice which I obviously need.

  3. When the Swiss began inventing pocket watches, then wrist watches, these inventions were greeted popularly by the masses who could afford them as very liberating. Today, the brain-challenged college Progressive professors see time as the enemy. Why can’t they see that Time is the most important thing they possess? Maybe it’s because they do not know how to redeem it.

    1. That’s a great observation. Time is the very definition of a non-renewable resource. The account of creation establishes the existence of time. The sons of Israel were given Shabbat as a commandment, because just as God created for six days and rested on the seventh, they to were to rest on Shabbat. Time brings order and organization to our lives. It is not some optional aspect of life. It is vital to life.

In the first chapter of Genesis, starting in verse 3, it says; And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. 4 And God saw that the light was good. And God separated the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day.

God set time, day and night, before that, “the earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep”. The void and formlessness was brought to order because God created the distinction between night and day.

Then, in Genesis 1, starting in verse 14, God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night. And let them be for signs and for seasons,[f] and for days and years, 15 and let them be lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light upon the earth.”

Time is, literally, a gift from God.

We see things happening around us which offend our sensibilities. This is culture rot, to be assured, but it is more. The Bible speaks of division, and I believe this is what we are seeing. People are dividing themselves, some choosing to turn their back on God, others turning towards God. As I’ve said many times, this is a war against reality itself. It is also a war against order; order which began to be established in Genesis 1:4.
