There’s a real need out there for wholesome entertainment. So little of what we see happening around us is wholesome, or even decent.

I’m going to start reading them to my 9 year old granddaughter, and once her English reading skills is up to standard (English is our second language), hopefully she’ll enjoy reading them on her own. You know what is also great for children about your books? No stupid, silly-bully-ish, disrespectful and ill-disciplined children as heroes.
I loathe and detest those child super-hero characters who can and do beat up grown men.
I agree. I see a lot of this sort of fiction has creating toxic attitudes in youth.
You see all these news stories of women going way out of their way to pick fights with men, and getting beaten up for the their pains… and you wonder, “What did they expect to happen?” I think The Invincible Female Warrior in TV shows and movies has a lot to answer for.
I think much modern entertainment is toxic.
I agree with you, and I can’t imagine what would prompt a woman (a blessed creature with her own unique qualities) to want to compete with men, and likewise, the “women” who dress inappropriately then wonder why men take liberties with her? Come on!
