It’s an Easter tradition here to post this scene, from The Greatest Story Ever Told, of Our Lord Jesus Christ raising Lazarus from the dead.
For which the Temple authorities sought to kill Him.
He did this for all of us, so that we would believe that God had sent Him.
That’s a great clip; one I’m familiar with. It would have been an amazing thing to see in person.
Yes, it would have been awesome, as well as the other three he raised from the dead.
In St. John’s Gospel he says the reason for the triumphal entry was the common people had heard that Lazarus was raised from the dead.
That makes sense. Of course, I wasn’t there, but Jesus had to have created quite a stir among the people. It’s no wonder that the Scribes & Pharisees were so upset by the miracles happening. They had to realize that they were up against something special, but they couldn’t see past their pride.
