Cats Stealing Dogs’ Beds

Isn’t it pitiful? Little cat steals dog’s big bed, and the poor dog doesn’t know what to do about it. That’s domestication for you. Are dogs really that un-assertive, or are they just being generous?

And cats are very, very good at judging what they can get away with.

  1. cats can be pretty possessive and oblivious to anyone else trying to roust them. The gray and white feral cat who moved in here, kicks the dog out of her bed, away from her food dish, and anywhere else the cat thinks she doesn’t belong.

  2. You can’t help but admire an animal which can rake a bed away from a dog several times it’s size. They don’t even seem ruffled by the dog’s efforts to recover possession. If I were an animal, I’d want to be a cat. 🙂

    1. To my way of thinking, a cat is a luxury that almost anyone can afford. Even if I was living in a shack, I’d want a cat, and having a cat sitting next to me and purring is a pleasure that no amount of money could improve upon. I’m not rich by the standards of the US, but my cat makes me feel like I am.

    2. I had one that seemed to take great pleasure in placing herself wherever she thought I would want to be and refusing to move.
