It’s been so long since I’ve heard this hymn, it was like hearing it for the first time–In the Garden, sung here by Alan Jackson.
Some of you are here almost every day, and never request a hymn. Well, the hymn shop’s open all the time; so if you have a favorite hymn you’d like to share, just let us know.
We listened to this in the car on the way to church today! By the way, exactly one year ago, I requested my first hymn on your blog. I would like to request it again! It’s “Awesome God” by GLAD. Here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bjsKG5MMPZ8
Coming up this morning
Thank you, sir!
Here is a suggestion: Sometimes it takes a Mountain by the Gaither group.
A different sort of song, but very meaningful.
By the way, I love In the Garden, too.
I love this hymn. I’ve been meaning to ask for it, but something always happens to make the request slip my mind. So thank you for reading the slippages from my mind!
It was Erlene who did that, not me.
I thought I should tell you that the comments are disabled on “Longing for God’s Word.”
Thanks, I thought I’d fixed that. I’ll try again. *sigh*
No problem, sir!
A close Christian friend of mine died this past Friday. This song will be sung at his funeral. He also requested our choir (which I am in) sing “Beautiful Savior.” Today my friend is not only walking with Jesus, he is also dancing before Him!!
Thanks for this
