He’s going to eat someone, isn’t he?

Three years have gone by, and their campaign rhetoric hasn’t changed a bit.

Bernie: If You’re White, You Don’t Know What It’s Like to be Poor

One thing I know for sure: no one comes home poor from Capitol Hill.

Are you proud that one of our country’s two major political parties has nothing better to offer than class warfare and racial animosity, artificially stoked up for their own political advantage?

I’m not.

  1. It makes me so ashamed to see where we have fallen, and what idiots we look like before the rest of the world. Instead of trying to lift up the weak and disadvantaged, we seem to be trying to tear down the ones who are doing better and trample them in the dust.

  2. Funny … I’m “white” and I can remember times when I had to make a half-pound of ground round last a week. I guess it would have had to be a quarter-pound in order to qualify as “poor,” huh?

Oh, and doesn’t Bernie remember something called the Great Depression?

  3. He was probably living “high on the hog” all through the depression and didn’t even notice– or maybe he thought the rich were getting a taste of their own medicine. On the other hand, he may not spend any time to speak of in thinking at all. He sounds like a broken record.

    1. I’ve had all the practice I need at being poor. What I haven’t had a chance to practice is being rich–like Bernie.

  4. Sociopaths are drawn to politics – and what a strong draw it is. One study found the way to assure success in America is get a high school diploma, work steadily and consistently, and don’t get married until you can afford children. I arrived in Fort Smith, AR in the summer of 1976 with $5.00 to my name, and I never felt poor.
