Cats & Water Beds

It must feel all kinds of cool, to a cat, to frolic on a waterbed. I can see the attraction. But I can’t convince myself that sharp cat claws and waterbeds is a good mix.

Maybe it’s because I knew somebody whose guinea pig got out of his cage one day and decided to chew a hole in the waterbed. By and by, the ceiling over the dinner table began to bulge alarmingly…

  1. I’ve never had a hankering for a water bed, but if I did, I would certainly not allow a cat on it.

  2. I was wondering about that. I’ve never had a cat and a waterbed at the same time.

The second vignette featured a gray tabby. That was a very handsome cat.

  3. I had a similar situation. Once upon a time I was renting out a 2 family house. The guy on the second floor (unbeknownst to me) had a waterbed. He decided to remove the plug and go out for some reason. Maybe he was changing the water?
Anyway, while he was out, his cat jumped up on the bed and probably went to sleep. The first floor ceiling came down.
