By Request, an Encore: ‘Redeemed’

As more and more of this fallen world is harangued and lectured to by indoctrinated teenagers who know only what they’ve been “taught,” it’s a tonic to remember that we are redeemed–by Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

I’m sure I posted this a few days ago, but hey, we do encores here. And we need to hear hymns and psalms: it’s an antidote to culture-killing.

And so, requested by Joshua, here’s Redeemed, by Big Daddy Weave. With lyrics that are well worth reading.

  1. Yes, I like this, too. It is important to have instilled in us this truth since there are so many false doctrines floating around.

  2. There’s another hymn by the same name, and actually, that’s the one I first knew. Here’s a rendition by Jessy Dixon. (Can you post this one also, Lee?)

    1. Well, looks as if I posted it myself. Didn’t know a link could do that. Lee, if you don’t like it, I guess you can delete the whole post.

  3. Thank You for your post, friend!

Have You ever considered why the identity of Jesus Christ is “revealed” at the end of The Holy Bible?

Divinely inspired, it is no coincidence that the final book of the Bible is “The Revelation of Jesus Christ,” that it is the primary document relating Christian eschatology, or that it is written in such obscure language, and elaborate imagery, as to purposely render its interpretation no less than impossible, as it would seem, for any but the book’s Author.

I suggest that the reason for the symbolic positioning of the Revelation, at the “end” of the Bible, is to intimate the “final” act of the Plan of Salvation: the revelation of Jesus Christ, to the World! For the enigmatic book was written to await the arrival of the Messiah, the “author” of Our eternal salvation, He whom would also be—through the sole, accurate interpretation of the book—the “finisher” of Our eternal salvation.

“…looking unto Jesus, the author AND finisher of Our faith.” — Hebrews 12:2 NKJV

I believe, and therefore testify, that I have been blessed by the newly christened “Christ” to share with You the newly translated book of Revelation, as I share with You that He—just as foretold—has indeed come, and that He has received His “NEW” Name [Revelation 3:12]: Jesus Christ.

“…for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’ ”” — Matthew 23:39 NKJV

I hope that You’ll join Me in a friendly conversation about Our LORD, and the meaning and origin of His Name, Jesus Christ [YHWH].
