‘A Rat as Big as a Car’ (2014)

We think of rodents as little creatures. But what if you could see a rodent ten feet long, five feet high, and as heavy as a pair of polar bears?

A Rat as Big as a Car

Actually it looks like a capybara, the largest rodent still around today.

Josephoartigasia supposedly died out two million years ago, before anyone was around to set out giant mousetraps. All we can say for sure is that we aren’t able to find it anywhere today.

Imagine the size of the exercise wheel you’d need to buy.

    1. I must confess to being a total agnostic in regard to the age of the earth. That’s because the Bible doesn’t tell us how long Adam and Eve were in the Garden, or what was going on outside, before they fell. But I’m pretty sure “billions of years” is way, way off; ditto “hundreds of millions,” etc. Too much dinosaur soft tissue floating around out there!

    2. I think most Christians believe that the world is around 6,000 to 10,000 years old, according to geographical research.

  1. I’m pretty much on the same page, Lee. I’ve looked at it from several viewpoints and have concluded that I don’t know. I’m skeptical of the Deep Time theories, but even if they are true and the creative days refer to epochs, it doesn’t change my faith in a Creator. I have listened to the theories of Christian’s in the earth sciences and feel that the evidence for a young earth is certainly compelling. The bottom line is; I don’t know and I’m not going to get all concerned about it. I believe that God made things as He saw fit, and I’ll leave the rest to Him.
