Thank you, Lee! Prayers for my, and my family’s, safety would be very much appreciated. I do trust that our lives are in God’s hands, even though we always have to look over our shoulders and don’t know what the future holds for our properties. I can tell you much about the situation here under the current government… It is hard to stay positive.
My aged (80) parents are really the only factor keeping me here for now. I don’t wánt to leave – I love my country – but you can only take so much. My youngest son and small family is already in the UK and my daugher and family also wants to leave. If and when they do, I’ll leave with them. My eldest son is married to a UK citizen although they (still) live here with their young daughter.
The sad thing is that nowadays there is no country that we can’t imagine plunging into the abyss of tyranny. It’s just that some are closer to it than others.
