Greta Thunberg… making demands

Greta Thunberg is deluded, and at some point a lot of people are going to have to answer for their part in deluding her.

Telling people to panic is nonsense. Everyone should know that. Panic is the enemy of a clear mind. When you panic, you lose control of the situation. Even if climate change is caused by mankind, and even if it can be fixed by mankind, it certainly can’t be fixed all in a minute.

If you are a Thunberg-ite, are you really willing to undergo the radical changes that she is putting forward? Are you willing to walk or bike to work, no matter how far away it is? Or maybe drive a horse-drawn carriage. Are you willing to give up your hair products, beauty products, smart phones, and computers?

If you want to visit another country, are you going to go there under wind power, taking weeks to get to a place you could have reached in a day or two by airplane? Or what if your grandmother is dying, and the only way to get to her before she passes is by airplane and there you are, galloping madly on a horse?

Greta Thunberg doesn’t know what she’s talking about, and the people who control her are abusing her by keeping her, and so many other children, in a constant state of panic, anger, and frustration.

When I was her age, my political activity was confined to making comments on news articles expressing my views. Greta is still a child. She’s sixteen years old. She should indeed be in school, not traipsing around the world telling everyone else what to do. And her parents should be utterly ashamed of themselves for feeding her tendency to obsess over things, instead of trying to help her. Add to that the fact that, as a teenager, she is in the middle of a whirlwind of hormones, and it is no wonder that she is so miserable and hopeless.

Clearly this poor girl has never been told about the true hope found in Christ. In her despair and anger we see a perfect picture of what is is like to be raised with zero religious foundation. Mankind is the be-all and end-all. We live and die by our own power. Our world rises or falls because of us. What if someone took her aside and said, “Greta, let me tell you about God”? If handled correctly, can you imagine the feeling she would get as she realized, for the first time in her life, that there is hope? That even if the world is falling to pieces, there is a rock to cling to?

I’d love to see that happen. Greta Thunberg, and all children like her, who grow up in a world devoid of God, have been robbed and deluded. They are so deluded that they are in a state of panic, and they are trying to panic everyone else over many issues which they do not understand, and of which they cannot see the consequences of implementing: gun control, climate change policies, economic policies.

I hope and pray that they will be shown the light of truth, because walking in the dark is frightening. Jesus says to allow the little children to come to Him, but there are people forbidding them to come to Him, to taste the sweetness of love and joy and freedom from fear.

Shame on the people who make a profit from panicked, angry children, and shame on the people who created that mindset in the first place. It would be better if a millstone were tied around their necks and they were cast into the sea.

  1. Amen, I certainly agree with your remarks. This whole thing is not only ludicrous, it is evil.

  2. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom,
and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight. – Proverbs 9:10

In a book filled with insight and wisdom, the scripture above stands out for its profundity. Fear of the LORD absolutely IS the beginning of wisdom. Without that, we are limited in our understanding. Now, young people can be smart. We have a couple that participate in this blog who are smart and seem to be of strong character. One thing they have in common is their reverence for the Almighty.

When one is not anchored in some way, it is easy to find oneself at the mercy of whatever opinions we are exposed to. I know that I was much more vulnerable to influence in my youth and, in fact, I have changed my views significantly on many matters from what they were when I was young. Experience cannot be replaced by any other kind of learning.

So now we come to a young girl that very likely has had no spiritual aspect to her upbringing but has obviously been exposed to the opinions of the Far Left, perhaps to the point of saturation. Her convictions are strong, her views adamant and she is very vocal about them, to the point of showing no respect whatsoever to adults whom disagree with her viewpoint.

When I was in grade school, probably no later than 1961, I remember being told that if they didn’t stop logging right away, there would be no trees at all left when I grew up. Well, I did grow up and I’m still waiting for all the trees to vanish. The facts are simple; I was lied to. It was a scare tactic designed to influence my political direction from a very young age.

But I learned for myself. I survived the disastrous Carter Administration and saw how the U.S. all but ceased to function, living at the mercy of its adversaries. Then I saw the immediate change of the Reagan Administration and, for the first time in my life, saw that it was possible to prosper. I saw things change for the better, not only here in the U.S. but also around the world. I saw the fall of the Soviet Union and a move towards freedom for many people around the world.

Then I saw the pendulum swing back the other direction, especially in the last 10-15 years and I’ve seen the world destabilize. Climate Change is one weapon they are using, but it’s not the only one. I believe the ultimate source is Satanic and the goal is to enslave mankind.

Greta T. is a child. I believe that she is confused and angry. Possibly, she is mentally ill, as some have suggested, but I wouldn’t claim to know. In any event, she is a social phenomenon and she’s getting a lot of publicity. IMO, this is nothing but a vast publicity stunt.

    1. We know that “Climate Change” is the ticket to global government with the bad guys running the show. It isn’t real, and doesn’t have to be. When we sign away our freedoms and the world doesn’t end, they can smirk at us and say, “See? It worked!”

I learned to see through that one on the playground.

  3. I’m retired. But I could have walked 2 miles to work. However, I would need new shoes periodically. A factory somewhere would have belched smoke while making those shoes. A horse drawn carriage…..I live on a small lot in town. Where would I keep a horse? I believe horses fart as much as cows do. What do I do about the methane gas emitted? And who will run a tractor and combine to furnish the oats for my horse? Don’t these people think things all the way to the end? What idiots!!

    1. If you want to see runaway pollution, just try replacing machine-power with horse-power. Around the turn of the 20th Century, New York City was facing a huge problem with horse wastes fouling the air and piling up in the streets. These people aren’t thinking things through at all.

Our free market economy is based upon serving the needs of its citizens and has done a better job of that than any other economic system. The solutions are not perfect, by any means, but they are moving in the right direction. Automobiles create a fraction of the pollution that they did in the ‘60s because of engine controls and reduction catalysts.

  4. Thanks Lee 🙂 I really feel sorry for Greta; she seems so unhappy. And then I remember that there are who knows how many other children being told the same lies and … I hate it. Children shouldn’t worry about stuff like this; we all acknowledge that it’s a sad thing for a child to have his or her childhood taken away by war, or some other traumatic event. So why is it OK to put the weight of the world on a little girl’s shoulders?

    1. It’s OK because it serve the grand and noble wonderful fantastic cause of global government, with unprincipled idiots in charge.
