‘Gloria’ by Libera

I usually post this at Christmastime, but I’m glad I saved it for today. I don’t know about you, but I need its beauty. The beauty of holiness (Psalm 110).

Gloria in Excelsis Deo, sung by the Libera boys’ choir–and don’t mind the Latin, the music speaks for itself.

  1. Glorious singing indeed! (A few glitches in the Latin titles, though.)

By the way, we got the snow overnight, so if it’s moving in its usual direction, you should be getting it this afternoon or tonight. About 3-4 inches here. I actually live on a main street in downtown, but although the snow had stopped by the time I got up at 3am, our mayor seems to have been too busy enforcing mask mandates and curfews to remember to send out the snow-clearing equipment to downtown until a little after 10am. Forget the side streets. I can just imagine what the rest of the city is like. Oh well, the temperature is rising and it will soon be 3-4 inches of slush instead — which will turn into ice overnight. Covered with more snow, according to the latest forecast. Oh goody.

Sorry. Didn’t mean to spoil the Gloria with such griping. (Not that I’m going to erase the griping, mind you.) 🙂

  2. I was blessed one evening in March of 2006 while visiting London, to hear the Boy’s Choir in St. Paul’s Cathedral. Their voices were so beautiful. I’d never heard a Choir like that before nor since! My friend and I just “happened” into the Church. I know it was God’s gift to us!!
Lee I really enjoy your website. Prayers for you and your wife.
