A School for Ducklings

Here’s something a little different, you won’t see it every day. The high school’s door is open, so a mother duck leads her ducklings into the building.

Is she taking them on a tour? Is it a short-cut to the pond? We never had ducks and ducklings in my high school. But they we never had any of those weird-looking steel chairs, either–those things that look like props for a movie about mad scientists. Maybe the ducks are looking for the movie.

  1. A little confusing. A school for ducklings – and when I opened it, it was the song Seek Ye First… which is a song I love, and this was beautifully done, the the ducks appeared. Oh, well, both are nice.

  2. I think one of those mysterious now-you-see-it-now-you-don’t reblogs that you keep trying popped up briefly as this page was loading and disappeared when the page was fully loaded. It used to happen now and then, and now it seems to be happening again.

    1. I just checked again, and the reblog actually appears instead of the duckling post in the email notification. But yes, once I clicked for the post, the reblog disappeared and the duckling post appeared.

    2. Well, I did try a reblog today, but nothing appeared here at my end. I think you said once that these attempted reblogs would appear fleetingly on your computer when you went to read my blog. Or something. I was just hoping that Reblog would somehow start working again. But of course it didn’t.

  3. This one fell through the cracks, but I’m glad I took the time to watch it. Who knows why this happened, but the duck had a good reason. The natural world is amazing and animals teach us much about our Maker.

    1. I don’t know what happened to that post. You’re not the only one who couldn’t watch it at first. I suspect it was because of my efforts to reblog someone else’s post. WordPress doesn’t want me doing that.
