And actually, it is appropriate for Easter, since it celebrates Christ’s everlasting Kingship. In fact, I believe it was originally commissioned as an Easter oratorio. But no matter — now that He is risen, we can celebrate His victory over sin and death every day of the year.
Great inspiration. Another that I love is Emanuel, and there are several versions posted on youtube.
Hallelujah indeed. It’s been many years since a church has performed the Messiah – I always go when they do!
