The crisis of our age is a religious crisis. Don’t let anyone tell you different.
Here are two recent nooze stories that prove my point.
Water down Christianity on one hand, bully and terrorize the Christians on the other. This was always the way Red China did it. Now it’s turning into the way the United States and Canada do it.
The excuse this time is Because COVID.
Next time it’ll be something else.
I especially liked your sentence: “So you have a National Day of Prayer without God, ‘cause you don’t want to Exclude all those people who worship grilled cheese sandwiches or umbrella stands.” Unfortunately, there may actually be people who do worship grilled cheese sandwiches, or, as Scripture would put it, their own bodily desires. Biden seemed to have this in mind when he talked about putting our trust in our power of prayer, or, in other words, in ourselves.
“God of Hosts, turn us back; let Your face shine and we shall be saved.” – Psalm 80.
Amen.
Before Biden, we had George Nouri claiming his listeners could turn aside a hurricane if they all prayed at the same time–but he never said a word about to Whom those prayers should be addressed. Sounded like New Age swill to me.
