False prophets
I wonder how many so-called churches, this very Sunday, are defending abortion and the politicians who promote it.
Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain.
As hard as it is to believe, false prophets, clothed in the sheepskin of the church, have beguiled untold numbers of people who think of themselves as Christians into supporting the murder of babies in the womb. Well, no one ever said false prophecy was anything but a growth industry.
There are many of those Mene, Mene, Tekel moments.
This is one of them.
Not only was the calf made, but it was proclaimed that this was the god the brought them out of Egypt. However, it draws an interesting contrast to God made laws and manmade laws. Moses was up on the mountain, getting the real thing, from God Himself. Meanwhile, the people of Israel were making up their own law which resulted in misconduct and even outright idolatry. The point of their whole thing; all of human history since the Fall, has been to demonstrate that we need God’s view of what is right and wrong, and not our own.
Well said. To deviate even one iota from the God-given Law is tragic. The very reason He gave us His Law was so that we could live as He intended us to live; knowing that on our own, we would not have a clue.
In Arkansas we have outlawed all abortions except to save the life of the mother (which never happens, or hardly ever). The Supreme Court is getting ready to send the abortion issue back to the States. This will be a good thing because people can decide to live where God’s blessings will flow.
