It’s wonderful to hear this great old hymn again–Christ for the World We Sing. Music by Felice de Giardini–and for some reason I’ve always remembered that name, since I first saw it in the hymnal.

That’s more like it; a nice hymn- something positive amidst all the nasty stuff. If we couldn’t renew our strength in the Lord, we would surely go nuts with all the loony stuff around us.

I recognize the music but not the title. At our church we have a big organ which I love, but during our weekly Communion Divine Service the organist goes forward and another member plays the piano – so we have both.
