Colorado Teachers Stage Sickout

New Jersey school district closes doors after foodborne outbreak | Food Safety News

More than 1,000 teachers in Douglas County called in sick last week to protest relatively conservative policies of new school board members elected in November (https://www.cpr.org/2022/02/02/douglas-county-schools-closed-teacher-sick-out-proteest/).

The “teachers” were upset that the new school board intended to end mask mandates, fire the superintendent (which they did two days ago), and change the old board’s Far Left Stupid “equity” policies. Did they expect their “protest” to annul the school board elections? Or was this just to show the taxpayers who’s boss?

A point to remember: Public education is owned by Far Left teachers’ unions, who are determined to indoctrinate children into asinine, insane, and evil beliefs. They will not stop. They will not compromise.

And another point to remember: Kill public education, and Far Left Crazy dies.

  1. What a mess. A bit of perspective here. Douglas country is between the southern reaches of metro Denver and El Paso county, where Colorado Springs is. It is mostly rural and strikingly beautiful. It is also where I would live, if I could afford it, but definitely in the rural part of the county.

There has been incredible growth in Douglas County over the last 40 years or so, as metro Denver has grown southward into Douglas County. I can only imagine that what now exists is the classic struggle of a rural area being overtaken by urban values. Frankly, the teachers can sick-out all they want. Just hire people that actually want to work.
