‘Gravitas’: Nooze Media’s Most Embarrassing Moment

Rush Limbaugh Says His Lung Cancer Is 'Going in the Wrong Direction' - The New York Times

Rush Limbaugh opened a lot of eyes 22 years ago when he put together this montage of 18 different noozies all saying the same damned thing: in this case, George W. Bush’s supposed need for “gravitas.”

Polly want a cracker?

Yeesh. “Gravitas!” It was probably the very first time in their lives that any of those dorks actually spoke that word. If you never took a course in Roman history, you may not have even heard the word before. And yet suddenly the whole stupid nooze media is buzzing with it. What a bunch of dopes.

If you can’t listen to the whole five minutes of the clip, the montage is at 2 through 2.55.

  1. Yeh, I remember when that word was first tossed around, several years ago. It was repeated again and again, and it seemed that it was meant to impress people. pfffft
