My favorite memory of this hymn is from a gorgeous summer Sunday in the morning, at the Y Camp’s outdoor chapel, overlooking a glorious patchwork of farmed fields and rolling woodlands–and a quartet of camp counselors singing this in perfect harmony: All Hail the Power of Jesus’ Name.
I love this song immensely.
It’s always been one of my favorites, since Sunday school.
I also find this one of my favorites. I think we will sing it today for our morning devotions.
It had a different melody in my church.
They say, don’t just assume anything. I wrote my previous post before I listened to this rendition. Yes, brother Lee, it also has a different melody in my church and in my mind. I don’t really like this rendition. But that is OK. It’s always good to learn new melodies and such. Maybe it may grow on me.
I think this is the original melody, though,.
Maybe tomorrow I can find the other one.
