I used to catch sunfish when I’d go fishing in the lake country of Minnesota, but I don’t think they were close relatives. As a small child, I loved to eat fish, but I’ve completely lost my taste for fish. I literally never eat fish, anymore.
And here I thought AZ was famous for its seafood…
Nah, the Jaguars eat it, before we ever get the chance. 🙂
It’s funny, because there are people that fish the mud puddles that pass for lakes here, but I don’t see much of a point. The two closest rivers only flow a few weeks or months of the year.
I was never so happy as I was when we spent two weeks’ vacation at the shore–with fish for supper that I’d just caught that afternoon. How I wish we could go back to that!
I’d love fish, if only it didn’t taste like fish. 🙂
