I’m still reeling from the news that the state of Oregon has voted to toss academic standards out their high school windows for the next five years: you won’t need to learn reading, writing, or math to get a high school diploma.

Yo, minorities! They’re doing this because they think you’re too dumb to meet ordinary academy standards. You need a big boost from white liberals!

A High School Diploma… For Nothing

If this is not offensive, what is? And meanwhile, what about those kids who’ll be sitting in the classroom for four whole years without any requirement to learn anything? 

This is robbery. Robbing Oregon’s taxpayers. Taking their money–by force, if need be–and giving nothing in return.

If liberals don’t destroy us in the next year or two, it won’t be because they didn’t try.

Are you anti-science? Before you can answer the question, you have to find out what “anti-science” means. Some guy on YouTube explained it the other day.

Discussing–well, let’s say “denouncing”–“vaccine hesitation,” the Scientist informs us that any doubt, any criticism, any questioning of Science with a capital S automatically puts you in the “anti-science” camp. Boo. Hiss. If you don’t run out and get your shot ASAP, you are “anti-science.”

What do you get when you mix politics and science? You get politics. And that’s pretty much what our exalted Science has become. It got really rolling down the totalitarian speedway with the Global Warming hoax, which has since morphed into the Climate Change scam. And then along came King COVID–just what they were waiting for!

So you can’t ask, “Are we sure we want to mess around with messenger RNA?” You can’t ask, “What will be the long-term effects of this experimental drug, say ten years down the road?” There hasn’t been anywhere near enough time for longitudinal studies, but you can’t say that, either. It’d make you anti-science.

Remember the thalidomide scare of the late 50s-early 60s? The world rushed into that, didn’t it? Well, why not? Thalidomide was science! It turned out also to be a virtual guarantee of horrendous birth defects and had to be pulled from the world market. Happily for the United States, the FDA never approved the drug for use in our country.

Rushing into things, complicated things, just because Science says they’re good things, so shut up–what is this but folly? Is fear of COVID a good reason for trashing our economy and jettisoning our liberties?

If you don’t think so, you must be anti-science.

Stereotypes About People in the South That Just Aren't True

Okay, hear now the nooze! I can’t see what I’m doing, so I’ll fit right in.

Oregon now has a brand-new law freeing high school students from any requirement to learn how to read, write, or do high-school level math (https://www.lawenforcementtoday.com/the-demise-of-america-new-state-law-wont-guarantee-high-school-graduates-can-read-write-or-do-math/).

Go ahead, try to guess why they’re doing this? Betcha can’t! [cue Jeopardy theme music]

Give up? Well, of course you have. You haven’t learned how to think like an out-to-lunch West Coast politician.

The reason they’re going to, er, “suspend academic requirements” for the next five years (!) is so they can dream up “equitable standards for minorities”. No surprise! It’s just them poor dumb ‘n’ stoopid minorities again, they just can’t learn hard stuff like readin’, ‘riting’, and ‘rithmetic. They can just barely dress themselves in the morning. Imagine what trouble they’d be in without white liberals to run interference for them.

Guys, I’m not the one who’s insulting you. The Oregon legislature and governor are insulting you.

Five years. So what are those diplomas going to be worth?

(I don’t want to believe this! I don’t think I’ve ever heard anything quite so crazy in my life. I just want some rest, I’ve got the eye doctor tomorrow and I don’t know how I’m going to keep my work going. But this–!   LD)

A Center for Disease Control document, last updated July 25, 2020, reveals CDC plans to quarantine Americans in their bedrooms, move others to “camps and camp-like settings”–complete with communal latrines and bathing facilities–and force people to “swap houses” until the virus crisis is over: for “at least six months” (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/global-covid-19/shielding-approach-humanitarian.html).

And if you are ever allowed to go back home… in what condition will you find it?

I cannot imagine the Senate allowing anything like this, and God help us if they do. I doubt–I pray–that nothing like this will ever be attempted–in the words of the CDC, this would be “an ambitious approach which may prove effective…”

May? Like, it just might work?

If you think we’re ever getting our freedom back after a statist catastrophe like this, think again! “Oh, well, yeah, we know we said six months; but the germ is still around and we guess we’ll need maybe six more months. Or twelve. Honest, we have your best interests at heart.”

May the Judge of all the earth intervene to save us.

From our government! Because now we know what they have in mind for us.

What sophomoric drivel. It goes back a ways, too. They had the same “lesson” in the 70s, only with a lifeboat instead of an escape pod, sinking ship instead of doomed planet.

The point of the lesson seems to be that if you’re an Entitled Minority, your life is worth more than someone’s who isn’t.

Interstellar space needs the public schools and teachers’ unions more than we do.

I used to try to be a nice guy, and I let libs ‘n’ progs come in here and say their piece–only to have to kick them out when they started demeaning other readers. And they can never refrain from doing that.

There are still one or two libs I haven’t censored, because they haven’t, as it were, come into my virtual living room and peed on the sofa. But the ones who start their messages with “I’m a Republican, but–!”… well, they’re outta here.

They Asked for Censorship…

The nooze itself is provoking enough without letting leftids come in here just to call us names. They send in a lot of material that never sees the light of day, and never will.

Keeping them out has led to happier times, all in all.

How Do We Get Our Freedom Back?

I spy with my little eye…

As we speak, the people of Sydney, Australia, have been slapped by their government with another lockdown–this one enforced by some 300 military helicopters spying overhead and ground troops going door to door to make sure no one’s going outside except for a very few specific purposes permitted by the government (https://www.bbc.com/news/world-australia-58021718). And not too long ago, their chief health commissar–oops, sorry, I mean “official”–said people would have to stop talking to each other until she says otherwise–’cause talking spreads germs.

Here in America, the talk is all lockdowns, masks, forced vaccinations, vaccine passports (“Show us your papers. comrade!”)  mandate this and mandate that…

The question that must be asked is, After all this abuse, how do we get our freedom back? And when?

What if the COVID germ, like, doesn’t go away? Does that mean the restrictions never go away? Does that mean we never get our freedom back?

Is anyone in Congress asking this? Or are most of them just so turned on by the thought of all that power over all those people that they can’t see straight?

They should be made to tell us when the restrictions will be lifted, and when we can go back to being a free country.

New York City already has “vaccine passports.” No going anywhere or doing anything unless you can prove you’ve been shot up with an experimental drug. It’s East Berlin, circa 1961. I wonder if Mayor DeBlasio has time to start building a wall to keep people in.

We are heading toward a time when the consent of the governed will have to be withdrawn from our government. And that will be just the beginning of sorrows.

Virginia school accused of indoctrinating kids with 'Woke Kindergarten' video

Does your local school district need a “Woke Kindergarten” video that features a child saying, “I feel save when there are no police”? (https://www.themix.net/2021/08/virginia-elementary-schools-woke-kindergarten-video-infers-children-should-fear-cops/)

“Educators” keep letting these things slip into the open. Then when the public gets upset, they delete them from their websites.

An elementary school in Fairfax County, Virginia, got into hot water recently for posting “Woke Kindergarten” in its website–along with Hypocritical Race Theory “teaching,” Black Lives Matter propaganda, and “news articles critical of white parents.”

Oh, well! “School officials” said the posting was “by mistake”–ya think?–and was deleted as soon as they realized it was there.

If you want your kids schooled by these racist crackpots, there’s something very wrong with you.

Public education has far outlived its usefulness and needs to be abolished.

Is He or Isn’t He the Lord?

I’ve been doing some thinking about this. Current events and all, you know.

Either there is a supreme, sovereign authority, or there isn’t. If there isn’t–well, have fun, anything goes, whatever you can get away with.

If there is, either it’s God, the God revealed to us in the Bible, or someone or something else.

If God is supreme, we have His word and we know what He expects of us, for He has told us so. But if that authority belongs to someone or something else–then whom? Whose is it?

Well, perhaps some other god. Thor. Baal. Zeus. Ah, we’ve tried all those. They didn’t last.

Ooh-ooh, I know! It’s us! Real smart people! And all that stuff that we create–technology, laws, moral codes…and the state! Hum-baby, the state! That’s where you find the supreme and sovreign authority. Oh, yeah–in Science, too. You just can’t go wrong if it’s the State and Science.

Obviously we never learned a blessed thing from that whole lamentable and wretched 20th century. Original sin is nothing if not intractable.

If the supremacy is not God’s, then it must be someone else’s.

And if it does belong to someone else–no two people can agree on whom–then God help us.

All Is Not Well in Lib-Land

Why Gavin Newsom is striving for his next “Big Hairy Audacious Goal” | CALmatters

Why is this man grinning?

Democrats have got some problems lately. But what’s bad for them is good for America. Always.

In California, a poll taken by UC Berkeley and the Los Angeles Times shows Gov. Gavin Noisome–sorry: Newsom–down by double digits as his recall election looms (https://www.sfgate.com/gavin-newsom-recall/article/poll-Gavin-Newsom-recall-losing-Elder-Paffrath-16364991.php). No clear front-runner has emerged yet, but get this:

Bruce Jenner, a man who now calls himself a woman named “Caitlyn,” is polling 4%. What does that mean? How many thousands of Californians want this guy for their governor? One shudders to think.

And in New York, Democrats are turning on Gov. Andrew Cuomo, big-time. State Assembly Democrats want him impeached, NYC Mayor “Bill DeBlasio” has called on him to resign, and even Sen. Chuck Schumer doesn’t seem to like him anymore.

Cuomo is in hot water for a multitude of sexual harassment allegations, some of which carry serious criminal penalties. What a difference a year makes! Even when he was shifting COVID patients into nursing homes, resulting in the deaths of thousands, Dems were still hailing him as “the anti-Trump.” Now they won’t return his phone calls.

And for an entire week, seven days in a row (July 28-August 3), the fake nooze network, CNN, failed to attract one million viewers. Maybe people are getting tired of a steady diet of Democrat propaganda.

Dems are always surprised by developments like this. That’s because they believe their own lies and don’t know any normal people who might correct them.

May we all live to say, with a sigh of the most profound relief, “And great was the fall of it!”
