Christmas isn’t over yet–not here, at any rate–and we still have a carol contest going.
Entered by Erlene–What Began in a Manger, by Carroll Roberson.
If you haven’t entered yet–well, the contest closes Dec. 31.
Erlene asked for this one–I Believe in Christmas, by Carroll Roberson.
Come on, now, everybody, let’s go to town on Christmas carols! We need Christmas this year–so keep those carols coming.
Entered into our Second Annual Christmas Carol Contest by Erlene–Wise Men Follow Him, by Carroll Roberson.
Don’t worry about running out of carols, that isn’t going to happen. The prize is an autographed book. Not a bicycle. Not treasures from the Tomb of Tutankhamen.
Enter as often as you like. We need Christmas!
Your Favorite Hymns continues with He’s Still God, by Carroll Roberson.
Your Favorite Hymns is open to all, and you can request as many hymns as you like.
Today’s hymn, out of Your Favorite Hymns, is Lord, Take All That I Have, by Carroll Roberson.
We’re trying to reload the wagon with your favorite hymns, but so far, not many have pitched in. Step right up and don’t be shy! These hymns will make the devil cry.
We have this hymn request from Erlene–He Looked Beyond My Faults, by Carroll Roberson. She’s not feeling quite the ticket today, so let’s keep her in our prayers.
I consider it a blessing that I live in a time and place in which there are no public crucifixions. That makes it difficult to understand the horror of such a thing, and the magnitude of Our Lord’s sacrifice: that he should have consented to undergo the cross for our sake is almost more than I can grasp.
Requested by Erlene: A Moment of Time, by Carroll Roberson.
No more nooze today, I’ve had it. But we’re always open for hymn requests.
Requested by Phoebe: Just a Closer Walk with Thee, sung by Carroll Roberson. There are a lot of performers who sing this one. I’d never heard it before; but I love the painting illustrating the song.
We have a hymn request from Erlene, and here it is–Lord, Take All That I Have (“for you gave it to me”).
Every good thing we have ever known has been God’s gift to us.
