By Request, ‘In the Presence of Jehovah’

Erlene requested this, In the Presence of Jehovah, by Terry MacAlmon. I’m not sure my mouse picked up the right hymn: I’ll have to play it to find out.

By Request, ‘I Surrender All’

Requested by Erlene–I Surrender All, by the Newsboys. This song has a great message, well worth remembering: “God doesn’t love us for who we are. He only loves us because of who He is.” What a world of fear that takes away!

P.S.–Will anyone mind if I short of duck the nooze today? There’ll plenty enough of it for us tomorrow, I dare say.

Antidote! ‘I Know Who Holds Tomorrow’

Walking by sight and not by faith–that’s what we usually wind up doing, when we’re writing up the nooze–is a drag. If you think I enjoy covering “transgender” stories–don’t. Those are lost souls, and no amount of “affirming” their delusion is going to help them. They need to be affirmed in the love of Jesus Christ.

So thank you, Erlene, for administering the antidote–a hymn request. I Know Who Holds Tomorrow, by Carroll Roberson.

Ah, that’s better…

‘Give Me Jesus’

I thought this a sweet worship song, although I don’t know whether the performers call themselves Her Heart Sings or Sounds Like Reign. But either way, it’s Give Me Jesus. Beautiful setting by God the Father.

By Request, ‘All the Glory’

Requested by Erlene: All the Glory, by Carroll Roberson. I couldn’t resist the picture of the happy child opening his arms to God the Father.

If you’re new here, we take hymn requests and we take ’em every day. So if you have a hymn you’d like to share, just let us know, leave a comment anywhere in the blog, and we’ll do the rest.

Bonus Hymn, ‘You Raise Me Up’

I reckon a lot of us can use this hymn today–You Raise Me Up, performed by Celtic Woman.

Raise us up, O Lord, as only you can do! We need it.

By Request, ‘Here We Are’

We have a bonus hymn this morning, requested by Erlene: Here We Are, by Dallas Holm.

For the many new readers here, let me say we always like to start the blog day with a hymn, and we take requests–the more the merrier. If there’s a hymn you’d like to share, just let us know–leave a comment anywhere–and we’ll do the rest.

By Request, ‘Because He Lives’

Requested by Joshua, Because He Lives I Can Face Tomorrow, sung by Seow Rose. I can’t seem to find out anything about him, but it’s a nice worship song.

Faith can be hard to maintain in the face of adversity–but imagine having to live without it.

‘Thy Word Is a Lamp unto My Feet’

I loved this worship song from the first I ever heard it, years ago. It was with me last night as I was washing dishes, so I loaded it up for this morning–Thy Word is a Lamp unto My Feet, sung by Amy Grant. See Psalm 119, Verse 105.

By Request, ‘Lord, Prepare Me to be a Sanctuary’

Requested by Erlene, Lord, Prepare Me to be a Sanctuary–sung by Randy Rothwell, written by rock star Jon Bon Jovi, who went to school at St. Joseph’s High School, right here in my own neighborhood, where I used to play softball long ago.
