Well, There’s 2 Hours I’ll Never Get Back

Today I had to import photos using a new replacement card reader as the old one was broken.

Somehow, getting involved with anything “computer” eats time like the old PacMan.

First, my security system said the device had to be scanned.

Then I had issues with some outdated software.

The scan took forever.  The updating of the software took more forever.

Then I couldn’t find the pictures.  Grrr.

Finally I found the pictures.

By now I had just about forgotten what I wanted them for.

And people wonder why I don’t have a cell phone…

God bless everybody

  1. While technology has given us some very good things, there’s a downside, and the complexity of life has gone off scale. I’ve worked in various technical fields for a long time, and I’ve seen people become very burned out on it. I used to joke that if one more thing went wrong, I was going to join the Amish. 🙂

    1. Yes, one of the things I like about my small town in knowing the various merchants. It’s important to see people and not just deal with Amazon-type sellers. Patty

    2. I like that. When I go up to the city for my occasional Huevos Rancheros breakfast, I appreciate it when they remember me and remember what I always order. It makes me feel a part of something.
