Juan Guaido: survive and win, or fail and die
Venezuela’s “socialist” dictatorship, founded by the late and unlamented Hugo Chavez and continued by his sock puppet Maduro, complete with a ruined economy and people scrounging for food in unlikely places, like zoos, has been rocked by riots this week and may be on the verge of going belly-up (https://www.apnews.com/52bb7f774bc94f439df0606eb96bab4e).
The United States is backing opposition leader Juan Guaido, who will either survive and win, or fail and die. Guaido has declared himself president. Maduro, backed by Russia, China, Iran, and other international bad guys, says he’s going nowhere. Some of Venezuela’s top generals have pledged their loyalty to Maduro. Why does that remind me of George Steinbrenner saying “Bucky Dent is like a son to me” just before he traded him?
A Prediction: If Maduro is overthrown, watch for wailing and gnashing of teeth among the American Left–aka the Democrat Party, Hollywood, and the nooze media. They’ll say President Trump connived to oust their favorite left-wing dictator and redouble their efforts to oust our president. They’re going to carry on like maniacs.
