Incredible Beliefs

In communicating with liberals–yes, I actually do that–I am often astounded by the fantastic things which they believe. And those are the nice liberals with whom you can carry on a conversation. There are many more of the other kind.

They sneer at us for believing Adam and Eve really existed. But check out some of their beliefs, which I have collected from real persons. At least, I think they’re real.

“John Kerry was a genuine war hero.”

“Creating gigantic government bureaucracies will protect us from Global Warming.” Not to mention believing in Global Warming in the first place.

“Hillary Clinton is a genius.” “Al Gore is a genius.” “Barack Obama is a genius.” What the heck, they’re all Mensa candidates.

“Communism would be a big success if we gave it half a chance.”

“Rachel Maddow is an oracle of truth.”

“A strong government can create Income Equality throughout the city/state/country/planet/galaxy…”

And so on. You wouldn’t think it possible that anyone capable of fogging a mirror could actually believe any of the above; but then you probably haven’t calculated for the effect of a modern education. It’s amazing, what unionized teachers can do to the human mind! Soon they will be able to erase it altogether.

I’m On the Radio Tomorrow

I’ll be on Mike Fagan’s talk show out of Spokane, Washington, at 9 a.m. Pacific Time (12 noon Eastern), RIGHT Spokane Perspective,on the American Christian Network. To listen on your computer, go to http://www.acn.cc and click on the Liberty Bell at the top of the page.

These gigs always make me nervous because I never know what the questions are going to be until I’m asked them. I’m almost afraid to tune in and see how I did.

  1. Albert Einstein reminder “……human stupidity is infinite….” Best answer I had from a young liberal when I asked him what he thought was the major “job” for government Reply “To look after us” That was 35 years ago.

    1. Wow! That’s exactly why my own liberal family member said, just a few years ago.

The question then becomes, do you really want Obama, Clinton, Holder, Kerry, McCain and McConnell taking care of you? Really?

  2. Romans 1:19-23

19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

  3. “All human knowledge is invalid if not rooted in the Bible,” is a quote from “Faith For All Life” magazine which has now been discontinued by the Chalcedon Foundation – I have every copy they created. The Bible presents truth as black & white but because sin’s effect on us is total depravity (effects every area of our life) so even Christians still operate in a gray area. Another “Faith For All Life” quote: “All knowledge emerges from one’s theological presuppositions.” It is hard to truly communicate with someone who is spiritually dead (and their wild fantasies). True believers are a remnant, but it only takes a dedicated minority to change history (which happens to be in the hands of Providence).

    1. We’re both sorry the magazine has been discontinued, but Chalcedon feels the time has come to move on, technologically. The mailing and production costs were getting hard to bear.

We have launched a new publication, “Arise and Build,” similar in format to the “Imprimis” newsletter, and we want to get our website up to speed in regularly offering new material.
