You’d almost swear those lever-style doorknobs were purposely designed so that cats could open doors. It also sure looks like all a cat as to do is look at it for a bit, and will soon figure out how it works.
This video also answers the question posed by the song, “Who Let the Dogs Out?”
I did not want my cat to see this. He gets up in the middle of the night and bangs on the lower kitchen cabinet doors- very annoying. He can get in, but he seems to just enjoy banging the doors.
Just be glad he can’t dial numbers on your phone.
I had a cat, a big cobby Persian, who could open doors inward just by giving them a massive rabbit punch, hard enough to pop the latches. My current cat was so good at pulling cabinet drawers open and getting into — or behind! — them that I finally had to get childproofing latches for most of them.
Just imagine of they had hands.
They would be as hard to control as monkeys.

It’s funny, because I thought of the same song while watching the video, but before reading your comment.
They are definitely pretty smart about navigating our world.
Now if we could just get them to turn on the coffee pot in the morning 🙂
