This weekend we got Patty’s car back from the body shop. You wouldn’t believe your eyes: looked like it just came out of the showroom. What a job they did!
See, the car had only some 20,000 miles on it. For what we would pay to have it repaired, we couldn’t get a used car anywhere near as good.
No, we are not interested in ever getting an electric car. That whole business is a scam. It’s a political program being foisted on us by villains who want to erase our freedom.
When Henry Ford made gas-powered cars available to just about everybody, he practically created the American middle class.
Please let’s not un-create it!
Are those photos of Patty’s car, or are they stock photos? In any case, congratulations on getting a really good job done on the car … finally! I’ll bet Patty is happy as a clam to have her wheels back — although, to be honest, I’ve never seen clams with wheels and I haven’t seen any surveys about their happiness levels. 😁
Stock photo–her car looks even nicer than this now. It even sounds better when you drive it.
Phoebe, why stay in the dark? For just $99.98. I can send you all the latest information on how to determine the happiness levels of freshwater clams. And as a special bonus, for just 49.98 more, all the information you could ever ask for (and more, and what you didn’t want to know) about their saltwater brothers and sisters’ contentment levels. Order both within the next two minutes, and for free, receive a special report on the mating habits of sea slugs.
Just send a self-addressed, stamped envelope, with a check, payable to ME, for $333.98, care of Brother Lee (I’m not good at math, but I’m sure the amount is correct). I always let him handle these matters, he seems to enjoy this kind of thing. He says it’s never a bother.
Mike, I regret to say that I’ve missed the deadline for your generous offer, but I’ve met a charming clam online who’s pouring out the story of his life to me. In fact, he seems to have been a resident of Scurveyshire for a while. The tale is still unraveling, I mean unfolding, and it becomes more and more crepuscular by the day. (Hat tip to Lee.)
What an awesome job!!
That’s a stock photo: the real thing is even nicer.
Great news.
The car looks good.
Can they repair matchbox cars? I got a whole box of cars (over one hundred) that got run over by an 18 wheeler. Most are flat as a piece of paper. Now they don’t take up much space, and I can place all of them in a large envelop, and mail them for an estimate.
Don’t worry Phoebe, the offer still stands. I have extended the offer for two more minutes.
About that clam. You said he’s online … is that like, online, as caught on a fisherman’s line? Forget it, I don’t want to know.
All thad shaking here, really shake me brain up.
In case you want to know, we had a lot of tremors yesterday, and a few more today. I think its getting back to normal, with only a few slight shakes each week
I think I’ll keep New Jersey.
