An Update (What’s going on)

This is just to let you all know what’s happening.  Last Monday Lee went to the oncologist and he was severely dehydrated.  They gave him an IV there and we came home.   Tuesday morning we got a call to take him to the ER as his kidney numbers were really bad.  He was admitted and has been there all this week.  Yesterday afternoon they were going to transport him to the rehab center as he had grown very weak from lying in bed and was considered a fall risk.  The plan was to give him intense rehab for a couple of weeks to strengthen his legs and generally make him fitter.  This morning when I called the rehab place he was not there.  I called the hospital and he was still there as the Dr. decided to keep him another day because of the kidney number.  Bottom line  I am not sure when he will go to rehab.

I will keep you all posted.  This week has been extremely hectic and your prayers are so very welcome.

He is in good spirits, nice and grumpy, hates being in the hospital and very much with it.

Thanks again and I will try to keep on top of this.  Hope this post goes through because I’ve never done this before.

God bless all of you.

Pat

  1. Thanks for the update, Pat. He’s on our minds and certsinly in our prayers. The most important thing is to concentrate on the treatment. Getting better is a much higher priority than the community here at Lee’s blog.

  2. Thank you so much Pat for letting us know! I will continue to pray for you both! I wanted to share these verses with you and Lee.
“My grace is all you need, for my power is the greatest when you are weak.” 2 Corinthians 12:9 “My flesh and heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” Psalm 73:26
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28
“The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.” Psalm 18:2
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28
“The Lord Himself goes before and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” Deuteronomy 31:8
“My soul is weary with sorrow; strengthen me according to your word.” Psalm 119:28

  3. Oh, thank you for keeping us updated, Pat. You know how much we love Lee and how much we pray for him. I’m praying for you, too, because I know how much you’re going through right now. Sometimes it’s almost harder to stand at the foot of the Cross than to hang on it ourselves.

  4. Hallelujah, glory to God, and thank you so much for stepping up. I have been expecting this, and I want you to know I love both of you, and I know the Lord loves you even more and is looking out for you both as needed. I saw on f.B. yesterday was your birthday, and I sent a little message to you. Lee is blessed to not only be a child of God, but to have a wonderful wife and partner in you. God bless you both. Love, Erlene

    1. Thank you so much, Erlene. We are a little band of brothers and sisters here and we all pull for each other. I will do more posts from now on. I hope you are feeling better, too.

  5. Thank you for the update. I have been very concerned, with no posts from Lee in a few days.
As the others have written, prayers from us have been spoken to the Lord of all creation for Patty, and for your recovery and healing.

  6. Thank you for the update, Pat! I’ve thought about you a lot although we’ve never met. You are a loving wife to Lee and we all thank you for that and we pray for both of you. ♥️

  7. So much for someone to go through when recently having a birthday. I don’t think the Blog followers had an idea of how sick Lee really is. All of a sudden it is his kidneys. Praying he can get some new ones.
