Rolling Along

Just got back from visiting Lee.

The catheter is out, so he has more freedom of movement.  I took him outside in a wheelchair like I did the other day–no Laurel and Hardy this time.  He likes to go out and have a cigar and today’s weather was just beautiful albeit windy.

He is in good spirits, but rather lonesome.

He can’t believe that he can not find anyone who has ever heard of Kon Tiki.   We had been talking about it the other day (what a bold venture that was!) and he began asking various people about it and nobody, but nobody had ever heard of it.

He will have PT again tomorrow morning.  They don’t have it on Sunday, which is fine.

I’m a little tired, myself, so I decided to have a real day of rest.  Did absolutely nothing but sit in my shambles of an apartment watching Downton Abbey of all things.  Talk about contrasts!

That’s about it for now, thanks again for your prayers–they are needed.

God bless everybody.

Patty

  1. Thank you, Patty, for keeping in touch with us about Lee, and it’s good to hear about how you’re doing also. My continuing prayers are for you both!

  2. Glad to hear that Lee is doing a little better, and that you took him outside to enjoy the wonderful spring weather and a cigar. It must be our ages – (I am 80), and I know what Kon Tiki is (learned about it in school, back when they taught real facts, not propaganda!)

Glad that you, Patty, are getting a “day off”, too!
God bless and keep you both!

  3. I remember Thor Heyerdahl. In 1947 set forth on a raft (Kon-Tiki) and sailed from Peru to some islands in French Polynesia.
