I saw Lee after his surgery on the day of the surgery. He was in such bad shape that I could not find it in myself to post anything. I was so very worried about him.
Went back the next day and it was like night and day. He was still a little woozy from all the meds, but he ate some and was talking like his old self. They took the tube out of his chest and all seemed to be OK there.
Today when I went he seemed to have lost a little ground and had some abdominal pain. I just want him out of there. They are trying to meet certain goals each day and that does seem to be progressing. I will also say the care and attention he is getting is excellent. Because of the abdominal crowding, he does not feel like eating and we (the nurse and I) were trying to explain how important it is for him to eat.
On the whole, he is doing as well as can be expected.

With the very sad news of Charlie Kirk beings assassinated today it is nice to hear Lee is doing better than yesterday.

I’m not around as often as I used to be, but I like to check in now and again to see how Lee is doing. I’m thankful he’s doing better if not complete. Prayers to you both. -Watchman
