I saw Lee yesterday.  He is not doing too well.  We will be having a conference on Monday with his Advance Practice Nurse, me, Lee and the coordinator for palliative and hospice care.  We will probably go for palliative care.

I also went this morning and was going to go back this afternoon, but I just absolutely can’t.  I am just too bone-tired to drive.  He remembers when I am there sometimes, but not other times.

This is a hard reality to face, but with God’s help and all your support, we will get through it.  Just pray that they can get his blood pressure up and his heart rate down.  Then he could get out of bed and into a chair (which would be an enormous improvement).  Nobody does very well when they have been flat on their back for more than a week.  Because of the low blood pressure he could faint if he tried to stand, so they won’t even attempt it.

If this is a little disjointed, I apologize.

Before I go, I have to mention the horrendous assassination of Charlie Kirk.  How is such an awful thing possible?  We are not living in very good times.

I will continue to keep you posted.

God bless everybody

  1. Thanks for posting this, Patty. We continue to keep both of you in our prayers. In times like these, we can take comfort from the hope that the Bible offers, which is that all matters will be put right, in the coming Kingdom of God.

  2. Thank you, Patty for these updates. Lee needs a miracle healing and that is what I am praying for in Jesus’ Name.

  3. I have been wondering what Lee would have said about the Charlie Kirk situation. Praying for both of you.

  4. We had to take care of my infirm father for the last year and a half of his life, so I know how physically and emotionally draining that can be. I’ll be praying that won’t be the outcome for Lee, however. Are they giving him anything to raise his blood pressure?

As for Charlie Kirk, that was horrendous. What’s just as horrendous is some people cheering it on. The contrast between good and evil is becoming more stark.
