Today’s hymn is from the opera Hansel and Gretel by Englebert Humperdinck (not the pop singer who stole his name, but the real composer.)
It is one of the loveliest pieces of music, describing the 14 angels protecting the children in their sleep.
I posted the German version, and then the English version, wanting to send them together, but that was not to be.
