Yesterday I mentioned that I had a difficulty.
Here’s what happened.
I went on the phone to a bank (which shall remain nameless) to cancel two credit cards which were Lee’s. I took care of that, but when the smoke cleared, I could not access my credit card (which was mine alone, mind you, nothing to do with Lee.) I did check today and the card is active and good and I can get all the information I need, BUT I cannot access it on line. That is how I check my balance and pay the bill . I have not bothered with paper statements in years. Everything is fine (something I was not sure of yesterday, hence my concern) but I have to be able to access the card. They kept doing this particularly irritating code thing–they send me a simple numerical code over the phone, then I enter it online and send it
back to them. I did this THREE TIMES and they said the codes were wrong (THEY WEREN’T)– this was just their way of telling me to get lost. If I get to the branch tomorrow, or use another phone number, I will try again to straighten it out. This bank is notorious for this. I messed up a few years ago and it took awhile for it to straighten out.
I do not need this stress right now.
I have to keep in mind that the card is active and usable. Think positive and look on the bright side.
Technology really does have a downside.
I like to accomplish something every day, and when stuff like this happens it really takes the wind out of my sails.
Anyhow tomorrow is a new day.
God bless everybody.
Patty
I’ve seen that happen, when there are MFS (Multi-Factor Authentication) errors.
