Today was a very quiet day. We did get our snow, ending up with about 5″. It really made everything quiet and beautiful. I took a couple of pictures and will see if I can get them on the computer tomorrow.
I did take it easy–wrote my Christmas cards, wandered around YouTube, generally attempted to de stress. Not easy.
One thing I did do today was avoid the news like the plague.
Call me a coward for that if you will, but I needed to step back from all of it.

I do that, at times. Sometimes, there are just too many moving pieces and I’m unable to influence most of what happens, so the news can go unnoticed, from time to time.
It is necessary sometimes to just step back.
