December 26, 2025 is the 50th anniversary of our first date.
We went out on December 26, 1975 for the first time. I did discuss this in the post titled “How We Met”. We celebrated the 26th for many years afterward. It was a very special day for us, and it coincided so wonderfully with the joy of Christmas.
This year is a little rough.
We are expecting a snowstorm, starting in a few hours and supposedly lasting overnight. As long as we don’t have a power failure, I should be all right.
I got my walk in today, going to the bank and I absolutely froze. With the wind chill it was about 12 degrees. Fahrenheit, not Celsius. It felt bitterly cold, with a good stiff breeze.
It was a very low-key day today, but low key is just fine sometimes.
Have a good night, everyone–and if you are in the path of this storm, please stay safe and warm.
God bless everybody.
Patty
Just as we remember significant dates, our Creator remembers us and treasures our lives. As painful as the losses in our lives can be, God can restore us.
I could use a little restoring right now.
At least we have a solid hope. Sometimes, it can be discouraging, but we are talking about eternity, which will outweigh anything we experience in this fallen world.
I wish you a happy, holy Christmas season!
Thank you Michele, and to you, too!
