Don’t worry, folks I won’t make it a habit. I just felt like I could really use a little more time off.
In fact I will be very busy this coming week. I have to get my car inspected. I have to call Social Security. I have to get together all that I have (so far) for the accountant. And I have to start a folder for 2026 expenses.
And I am getting exercise tomorrow come hell or high water.
Fortunately, the predicted rain did not materialize and that is always a good thing.
Yesterday I was able to post that picture of Lee without bursting into tears. I do like that picture of him. You can see the deplorable condition of our neighbor’s fence (long since gone), but Lee does look really like himself in that picture. That was seven years ago. In some ways it seems like yesterday, and in other ways it seems a long time ago.
That’s about it for now.

Yes, that was a great picture of Lee, enjoying his outdoor break where he wrote his books! You deserve a break every now and again, so enjoy it when you can! Carol

If your weather was anything like ours, here in Arizona, a day off was about all you could do. I went out for breakfast this morning, but the wind made it feel like below zero weather, even though it was 30 degrees, for the overnight low.
I know the feeling you describe, seems like yesterday, but also like an eternity. Life can take some cruel twists in this fallen world, and the losses are very real.
I think you said it all.
