I made the mistake of dipping into the news today. And what a big mistake that was. First I read about the protests in Iran. The Iranian government has blacked out the entire nation’s internet and other communication platforms. The slaughter of protestors there continues. Will that country ever know peace? Or prosperity?
Lee was a gifted political science student. He could analyze a given situation, figure out what would happen if A, B, or C took place in reaction to that situation, and come up with the best solution for resolving it. He also could talk me down off the ledge if I really was upset over it. That I miss terribly.
Then I read about this virus that is raging in Cuba. This is more up my alley. What sounds really bad to me is that it seems to be a combination of 3 different diseases. That smacks of laboratory “development”. Have the bad guys come up with something even better than Covid for destroying the world?
If I sound a little down–I am.
Like the one minister said Sing Louder!
God bless everybody

The situation in Iran is something I have tracked with interest. It appears that the general population is insisting on change and even though there have been many killed, they continue to take to the streets and, apparently, there are police and military people defecting from the government. The president has promised support and it appears that something will be happening soon. I don’t have any hard and fast information; no one does at this point, but I don’t think that the regime can withstand much more and, allegedly, the families of government officials have been making their way out of the country.
I have an aversion to making predictions, but this looks like a very serious effort to topple the existing government and the son of the former Shah has agreed to serve as a temporary leader until a referendum can be held and a new form of government can be selected.
I would like to see the son of the former shah take charge.
It looks like that may well happen.
