It is really snowing here and has been for a number of hours. I would estimate at least 7″ on the ground and coming down heavily. They had predicted a change over to freezing rain later, but I hope that doesn’t happen because that increases the chances of power outages (which would be really awful).

No snow, but there was up to 3” of rain in the area, last night.
That’s a lot of rain.
Especially for a place that only gets around 10” of rain, annually.

My daughter lives in Charleston SC and she was getting rain this morning.
We’ve been getting snow for days now in southeast Michigan, but not as much as in your area. The near and below 0° temps prevents salt on the roads from working, so driving is very difficult. I know it’s the worst in the southern states.
Lee lived in Michigan for a while before I knew him. He talked about how rough the winter was there.
